Tribute for Elmo

There are so many words that I think of when I think of my friend Elmo. Sweet, kind, funny, good, soft, smart, cute, special. He was a true friend. It is true what they say about a dog being man's best friend. We surely had a connection. I believe that connection is not broken, not by a long shot. I will be reunited with Elmo one day and until that day comes, he is playing with other dogs and bunnies and others in Heaven, content and happy. I miss my good friend Elmo a great deal.

Dear Ms. Lemme:

In early September of this year my beloved dog, E.B., was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma in her mouth. I was immediately referred to the Red Bank Veterinary Hospital and by the Grace of God she came under the care of Dr. Joshua Lachowicz who recommended Dr. Davis to do the surgery. Surgery entailed having most of her jaw on the left side of her mouth removed and all biopsies post surgery were benign. Dr. Davis did an excellent job.

E.B. remains under Dr. Joshua’s care for check ups and injections of a new vaccine which hopefully will fight off the cancer returning. Obviously none of us know how long she will have but I am truly confident in my heart that she has received, and under Dr. Joshua’s care, will receive the very best care available.

During the course of all of this I learned of Dr. Joshua’s talent as a singer/songwriter/musician and bought his CD, I should say Joshua Louis’ CD, My Special Friend. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to this song and how it has touched my very soul. I will be taking E.B. back next week to RBVH and intend to buy more copies for friends.

I enclose a check as a donation to the Save U.S. Pets Foundation on behalf of E.B. and her doctor, Dr. Joshua. I am so grateful to know she could have no better doctor than Dr. Joshua, and I am equally grateful for his kindness and sensitive manner. I will continue to donate to Save U.S. Pets Foundation as I am able.
