The Save U.S. Pets Foundation is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Trustees and staffed with all-volunteer committees. They bring diverse skills and talents to the organization but share the same commitment and dedication to the Save U.S. Pets mission.

Dr. Redlus is the owner of Columbus Central Animal Hospital, Columbus, New Jersey while the practice is owned and operated by the VetCor group of Hingham, Massachusetts. He has served as Columbus’ Chief of Staff  and is currently practices as a staff clinician.

Dr. Redlus graduated from the New York State Veterinary College at Cornell University in 1968.  He entered into mixed practice (dairy and small animal) in Mt. Holly, NJ.  He went on to become an owner and partner in the Bryan Animal Hospital and the Larchmont Animal Hospital.  In 1976, he was one of the co-founders along with four other local veterinarians of the Columbus Central Veterinary Hospital and Emergency Clinic.  At the time, this was only the fouth hospital of this type (a central veterinary facility) to be established in the United States.

By 1985 he focused his attention and career to the newly developing field in Dairy Practice known as “Production Medicine.” Along with Dr. Arden Nelson of Cortland, NY, Dr. Redlus co-founded Dairy Production Consultants.  Dr. Nelson and Dr. Redlus were the first two veterinarians in the United States to access via computer modem production data on dairy herds.  Together, they developed programs for the evaluation of management performance that are still taught in Veterinary Schools today.

Dr. Redlus has been published in numerous veterinary journals and publications, and conducted numerous three-day management programs for agribusiness professionals and dairy practitioners throughout the United States and Canada.  He has guest lectured at local, state, and national veterinary association programs as well as several Veterinary Schools in the Northeastern United States.

After nearly 15 years of intensive dairy consulting practice, Dr. Redlus returned in 1999 to small animal practice at the six doctor Columbus Central Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Redlus brings to the Foundation knowledge, skill and insight in the field of Veterinary Medicine. Additionally, as an owner of small animal practices as well as a clinician treating patients he has an excellent grasp of both the needs of veterinary practices and the clients they serve as an owner of small animal practices as well as a clinician treating patients.

We are delighted by the addition of Dr. Redlus to the Foundation Board.  In addition to his experience and knowledge, he possesses and true passion for the spirit of the Save U.S. Pets mission.

Dr. Redlus lives in Westampton, New Jersey with his wife, Anne.
