The Save U.S. Pets Foundation is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Trustees and staffed with all-volunteer committees. They bring diverse skills and talents to the organization but share the same commitment and dedication to the Save U.S. Pets mission.

Susan, an entrepreneur who owns and is president of Alternate Bookkeeping Solutions, joined the Board in 2005. She brings business skills and experience, as well as a deep compassion for animals to the organization. Susan is an active participant with Lifeline Animal Rescue. Both of Susan’s cats, Sage and Bogie, were on a shelter’s “to be euthanized” list before being rescued by Lifeline and finding their forever home.

Susan’s other passion is for cooking, and she recently demonstrated her culinary skills by catering a wine tasting fundraiser for the Foundation.

Prior to learning of Save U.S. Pets, Susan became a client of Red Bank Veterinary Hospital so that her cat, Jack Brown, could be treated for cancer with surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. During the two-year period of Jack Brown’s medical treatments, it became very obvious to Susan that not everyone was able to endure the financial reality of pet care. Susan was compelled to champion the need to provide financial assistance in order to save the lives of pets.

Susan lives in Watchung, New Jersey with her husband Bruce, Sage and Bogie.
It is with great honor and privilege that Susan serves as Board Chairman.
